Sheriff’s Department
Deputy Sheriff – Full-time Position
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department is accepting applications for a Full-Time Deputy Sheriff. Primary responsibilities include patrolling local cities as well as the rural county, assisting with crime prevention, enforcing traffic laws and regulations, responding to emergency calls, investigating crimes and complaints, and issuing citations.
KLETC certification is strongly preferred, but not required. Applicants must have the ability to read, interpret and understand various law enforcement rules and policies, write clear and accurate reports, and communicate effectively with fellow employees, supervisors and the public. Applicant must be 21 years of age at time of appointment, have a high school diploma or GED, have a valid drivers license, free of felony, domestic violence or serious misdemeanor conviction. Successful applicants must reside in Lincoln County within 60 days of employment.
Communications Officer – Part-Time
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department is accepting applications for a Part-Time Communications Officer. This position is responsible for responding to incoming telephone calls, answering 911 emergency calls, monitoring and transmitting information via two-way radio to officers and emergency response personnel. Applicants must have a high school diploma or G.E.D., be free of felony and/or serious misdemeanor convictions, have the ability to multi task and have good communication skills. Experience is preferred but not required, we are willing to train the right person.
Highway Department
Equipment Operator – Full Time Position
The Lincoln County Highway Department is accepting applications for a full time equipment operator. Applicants must be 18 years of age and possess a Class “A” CDL Driver License or be willing to obtain one within 6 months of employment. Experience with heavy equipment is preferred. This employee will be assigned to the bridge crew. This employee will work out of the Lincoln Shop with work hours 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Mon – Fri(Oct – April). Summer hours are 6:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mon – Thur (May – Sept approx.).
Lincoln County offers competitive wages and an excellent benefit package, starting wage is dependant upon experience. Lincoln County is willing to training the right individual. Applications will be accepted until the positions are filled.
