Recycling

Part-Time Recycler

Lincoln County is accepting applications for a Part-Time Recycler. This positions primary responsibilities include sorting and bailing materials brought to the Lincoln County Recycling Center. Applicant must be willing to work M-F 8 a.m. – 10:00 a.m., the 2nd and 4th Saturday’s of each month, and additional hours as needed when bailing materials and/or delivering election equipment. This position works less than twenty hours per week on average. 


Emergency Management/AEMT

Full-Time Combined Emergency Management/AEMT

This position is responsible for developing and maintaining emergency operations plans, coordinating resources in disaster situations and acting as liaison between local, state and federal agencies. This employee will be required to work 40 hours per week, which will include one 24-hour shift per week on the Ambulance schedule. Applicants must have or be able to obtain a Kansas Emergency Manager Certificate within 2 year of employment, possess an AEMT certification or higher, possess a valid Kansas Drivers License and be free of felony or serious misdemeanor convictions. This position will pay $30,000 – $35,000 per year depending on experience and education.

Highway Department

Full-Time Bridge Crew Foreman

Lincoln County Highway Department is accepting applications for a full-time Bridge Crew Foreman. This position is responsible for overseeing staff and assisting with the building, maintaining and replacing of bridges, culverts and other structures within rural Lincoln County. This is a working supervisory position. Applicants must hold a valid class “A” CDL license with manual transmission and have experience with construction, heavy equipment, concrete work and supervising staff.


Full-Time Mechanic

Lincoln County Highway Department is accepting applications for a full-time Mechanic. This applicant must have experience with both diesel and gas mechanics, air systems, air conditioning and drive train repair is preferred. Thorough knowledge of mechanics, welding, measuring and a working knowledge of mathematics is necessary. Ability to read and interpret manuals and follow mechanical outlines for repair is required. This employee should be able to write legibly and fill out service sheets without assistance.This employee must have the ability to be a self-starter and keep a look out for potential problems during general maintenance on equipment. This employee should have good organizational, public relations, and oral and written communication skills. This employee needs to be able to adapt to changing technology. High school diploma or GED is required and applicants must have a valid class “A” CDL license with manual transmission or be willing to acquire one. Lincoln County offers competitive wages and an excellent benefit package.


Full-Time Truck Driver

Lincoln County Highway Department is accepting applications for a full-time Truck Driver. This individual will be responsible for hauling material, machinery, equipment and the refuse trailer for disposal outside Lincoln County.  A thorough knowledge of rules and regulations and laws for safe operation and driving of commercial vehicles is required. This employee must possess strong mechanical skills. The ability to operate loaders, graders, trucks, and other heavy equipment is preferred. The ability to understand and interpret written instructions, maps, schematics, manuals,reports, regulations, and other written material is required. A thorough knowledge of the physical layout of Lincoln County is required. This employee should have good organizational, public relations, and oral and written communication skills. Lincoln County Highway Department is accepting applications for a full-time Equipment Operator. This applicant must possess knowledge of mechanics, welding and measuring and working knowledge of mathematics is necessary. The ability to operate loaders, dozers, mowers, motor graders, trucks, and other heavy equipment is required with a high degree of accuracy. The ability to understand and interpret written instructions, maps, schematics, manuals, reports, regulations, and other written material is required. A thorough knowledge of the physical layout of Lincoln County is required. This employee should have good organizational, public relations, and oral and written communication skills. Human Resource Officer

Full-Time Human Resource Officer

Lincoln County is accepting applications for a Full-Time Human Resource Officer. This employee handles various job responsibilities including processing payroll, maintaining personnel records, recruiting new employees, assisting department heads with employment issues. This employee must possess excellent organizational, written and oral communication, as well as public relation skills. This position must handle numerous duties simultaneously, and have the ability to handle confidential information without compromise. A high school diploma or GED is required. Sheriff's Department

Jailer-Full-Time

Lincoln County is accepting application for Full-time Jailer. Primary responsibilities include safety and security, distribution of meals, medication, clothing and hygiene items, report writing, record keeping and facility maintenance in the Lincoln County Jail. It is the responsibility of this employee to ensure that inmates are maintained in a humane manner and ensure that the inmates are granted their constitutional rights. Employee must treat all information seen and heard in their position as confidential information.
