Rural Fire District

The Demark Fire District includes the Hunter and Denmark districts.  It is located on West Denmark Ave.

The division is made up of all or parts of the following townships: Battle Creek, Orange, Cedron, Grant, Marion, Blue Hill, Custer, Hays, Pittsburg, and Delhi.

Chief Ron Nelson said that the department has not had any new projects or grants in the past year.  The Denmark department has four trucks for its use.

Volunteer firefighters are: Ronald Nelson, Trent Andersen, Troy Andersen, Steve Cheney, Stanley Crawford, Mitch Errebo, Steven Errebo, Barry Larsen, Bruce Larsen, Leo Lessor, Wally Sheldon, Gary Sorensen, John Sorensen, Sidney Wacker, Howard Wehrman, Max Wehrman, Milton Wehrman and John Wiebke.
