Are you interest in becoming an Election Worker?

We're always looking for good help.  Working on Election Day is a rewarding experience and it pays too!  If you would like to become a member of Election Team, please contact the Lincoln County Clerk’s Office at 785-524-4757 or email the Clerk at lcclerk@lincolncoks.org.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen and a registered voter in Lincoln County
  • Must be affiliated with either the Democratic or Republican Party
  • Must attend paid Election Worker Training prior to each Election
  • Must not be a candidate on the ballot, except in the position of Precinct Committeeman or Committeewoman                           

There will be two election conducted in 2010.  The Primary Election will be held the first Tuesday in August and the General Election will be held the first Tuesday in November. The City/School election is held the first Tuesday in April during odd numbered years.

A full Election Day is at least 14 hours.  Board workers arrive at the polling place at 6:00 am and the day isn't over until all the machines totaled and all closing procedures are completed, usually around 8:00 pm or later.  Most workers are required to work the entire shift but some shift work may be available.
