The Lincoln County Ambulance Service is made up of three ambulances, one housed in Sylvan Grove and two in Lincoln, the two largest cities in the county. The Lincoln ambulance is staffed 24 hours a day with full time employees covering the day time shifts and volunteers covering the evening shifts. In 2009, the Lincoln County Ambulance Service responded to 396 calls.
The Lincoln County Ambulance Service is responsible for providing the best possible emergency care to the public to protect and save lives. Educational classes are offered to the public (such as CPR, First Responder and EMT Courses). The EMS department to stays up-to-date on all training requirements, and also protects the privacy of our patients’ health information. As with many Ambulance Services, we are always looking for more volunteers!
The Lincoln County Ambulance Service accepts assignment on all Medicare and Medicaid claims and will be responsible for submitting all insurance claims. For business questions call (785)524-5216 or for insurance questions regarding an ambulance bill, call (785)524-4757.
