Sheriff's Department

Deputy Sheriff - Full-Time Position

Qualifications: Applicants must be 21 years of age at time of appointment, possess a high school diploma or GED, be free of felony and/or serious misdemeanor convictions, have a valid Kansas Driver’s License and be able to complete a pre-employment drug screen. KLETC certification is preferred.  Must reside in Lincoln County within 60 days of employment.

 

Jailer - Full-Time Position

Qualifications: Applicants must have a high school diploma or G.E.D., be free of felony and/or serious misdemeanor convictions, have the ability to multitask, have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well under pressure and job-related stress. Must be willing to work all shifts and weekends. This position is responsible fort he daily management of inmate activities and the jail area.

  

Communications Officers - Part-Time Position

Qualifications:  Applicants must have a high school diploma or G.E.D., be free of felony and/or serious misdemeanor convictions, have the ability to multi task and have good communication skills. This position is responsible for responding to incoming telephone calls, answering 911 emergency calls, monitoring and transmitting information via two-way radio to officers and emergency response personnel. Experience is preferred but not required.

 

Highway Department

Equipment Operator-Bridge Crew - Full-Time Position

Qualification: Applicants must be 18 years of age and have a valid Class “A” CDL Driver’s License or be willing to obtain one within 6 months of employment. Experience operating heavy equipment and welding is preferred. This employee will be assigned to the bridge crew.

 

 

Ambulance Service

EMT-Paramedic - Full-Time Position

Qualifications: Applicants must possess a valid Kansas Driver’s License and current Kansas EMT or higher certification. One year of experience is preferred but not required. .  Must reside in Lincoln County within 60 days of employment. This employee will work 2 24-hour shifts per week.
