Deputy Sheriff - Full-Time Position
Qualifications: Applicants must be 21 years of age at time of appointment, possess a high school diploma or GED, be free of felony and/or serious misdemeanor convictions, have a valid Kansas Driver’s License and be able to complete a pre-employment drug screen. KLETC certification is preferred. Must reside in Lincoln County within 60 days of employment.
Jailer - Full-Time Position
Qualifications: Applicants must have a high school diploma or G.E.D., be free of felony and/or serious misdemeanor convictions, have the ability to multitask, have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well under pressure and job-related stress. Must be willing to work all shifts and weekends. This position is responsible for the daily management of inmate activities and the jail area.
Equipment Operator - Full-time
Lincoln County Highway Department is accepting applications for a full time
equipment operator. This employee will assist with the construction and
maintenance of county roads, bridges and culverts using heavy equipment. This employee will be assigned to a blade route.
Applicants must be 18 years of age and have, or be willing to obtain, a
Class “A” CDL Drivers License. Experience operating the following equipment is
preferred; mower, tractor, rock roller, dozer, loader, grader, etc.
Noxious Weed Sprayer - Seasonal/Part-Time
This employee will work out of the Lincoln Shop and assist with the weed control program in Lincoln County. This employee will spray weeds and brush on privately-own property and the county, state and railroad right-of-ways. This is a part-time position, dependant on the weather conditions.
Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license.
Mower Operator - Seasonal/Part-Time
This employee will work out of the Lincoln Shop and assist with mowing and vegetation control. This employee will operator a tractor with a side mount mower along the county rural road ways. This employee will also help with trimming, tree removal and other vegetation control.
Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age and have a valid drirver's license.
If selected for employment with Lincoln County, applicants may be required to submit to relevant employment testing for the purpose of determining the applicants capacity of performing the duties of the position. The cost of the examination will be paid for by Lincoln County. Cost of transportation and time involved taking the examinations are the responsibility of the applicant.
